Social Security Disability FAQs
Q: Who is entitled to Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits?
A: Anybody who is unable to work because of a qualifying physical or mental impairment may be eligible for SSD benefits. SSD benefits are available to all workers who have worked at least five of the last 10 years. If you have not worked, you may still qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.
Q: What if I applied for benefits but my claim was denied?
A: The large majority of initial SSD claims are denied because of minor technicalities. Our experienced attorneys can help you appeal the denial and get the benefits you deserve.
