Learn about the next steps in the disability appeal process if your benefits have been denied, called the Social Security Appeals Process.
After the Hearing Stage and if your request for Social Security Benefits was denied, you can now approach the Appeals Council for a Social Security disability appeal. The Appeals Council has the authority to either agree with the Hearing Judge’s ruling, or overrule the Judge’s decision and enact your SSI or SSD Benefits.
At the Disability appeal stage, it is imperative for you to hire a qualified Social Security Disability Attorney since this step is done in writing, and not by oral testimony like a trial.
