Biography: Christopher Frey was born in Richmond Hill, Queens, N.Y. where he lived until the beginning of high school.  He has resided in the Tampa Bay area since.  Chris lives in Pasco County with his wife, Cindy and their four children.  Chris is very active in community, school and church events.  He is a member of two School Advisory Councils, the YMCA,  his church, where he has taught religious instruction for several years, and in various sports leagues where he coaches football and soccer.  Chris' brother, Greg, played college football and currently coaches offensive line for the Michigan Wolverines, after spending 11 years building the University of South Florida Bulls Football program, at Chris and Cindy's Alma Mater.   Chris is active in the Florida, Pasco and Clearwater Bar associations, and Inns of Court, and  has lectured on the law in various capacities.  Chris belongs to various charitable groups including Hernando-Pasco Hospice, Habitat for humanity, and the Rotary Club of Trinity.  He is a skilled carpenter and handyman, and loves home improvement projects with his wife and kids.

Professionally, Chris began his legal career as an intern for the Hillsborough County State Attorney while attending USF, and continued interning with Holland & Knight, in its media law department.  Upon entering Stetson College of Law, Chris began an incredible clerkship with George Rahdert, Esq. who represented the St. Petersburg Times.  The first case that Mr. Frey ever worked on as a law clerk was the School Board of Nassau County, Florida v. Arline, 480 U.S. 273 (1987).  In Arline, the United States Supreme Court ruled that a contagious disease is a handicap under the American with Disabilites Act.  The case was timely heard in the midst of the AIDS outbreak at the time and became nationally reknown as the "AIDS" case.  The motion picture "Philidelphia" starring Tom Hanks is founded in this court decision.

As Arline  neared its conclusion, Mr. Frey began work with other clerks and attorneys on a then little known case involving strict  liabilty sanctions for the publication of truthful, legally obtained information.  This case, The Florida Star v. B.J.F., 491 U.S. 208 (1989), also ascended to the legal pinacle of United States Supreme Court.  Chris not only participated in the preparation of merit and jurisdictional briefs, but also shared the rare and unique opportunity of attending oral argument in the U.S. Supreme Court in Washinton D.C.  Mr. Frey's first published article in the Stetson Law Review was about this case.

Mr. Frey is not only an accomplished trial attorney with an outstanding record of success and jury acquittals, he is also an accomplished author whose legal writings have been referenced by the United States Sumpreme Court, the Harvard Law Review, various professional journals and law reviews, the U.S. Department of Justice and a National institutes on Scholarly Archives.
